Having a baby changes everything, including what you look for in a holiday. Suddenly it’s no longer about local fine dining and the best nightspots, and more about stair gates, highchairs and baby-proof gardens.
Lots of first-time parents don’t feel ready to brave international travel for a holiday, as well as all the other adjustments you need to make – so I’ve asked a few clients for some of their recommendations for the best places to browse for holidays, and the hidden gems they’ve found for holidaying in the UK as a young family.

Lavender Hill Holidays in North Somerset (suggested by Rebecca)
Lavender Hill Holidays is a gorgeous collection of family-run properties, near the coast in North Somerset. “All of them are luxuriously appointed and finished, and the owners can’t do enough to make sure you’ve got everything you need. We stayed in a cottage that was right on the steam train line, which was perfect for our toddler, who loved waving to all the trains.†https://www.lavenderhillholidays.co.uk/
